Hello; I attended the Symposium’s Brew Analysis presentation by Vince Fedele and moderated by Dan Cox. The ExtractMoJo and MoJoToGo sound like they will be useful in our coffee business. I purchased the Refractometer in the SCAA store and am looking to obtain the Coffee and Espresso modes for my Itouch but can only download the free Water mode. I can’t seem to anywhere on Itunes to purchase these additional modes. Am I missing something obvious? I have downloaded the software that came with the Refractometer but haven’t found anywhere to use my iTouch as described (as iPhone) in the presentation at the Symposium. Perhaps the iTouch is not supported. Please clarify. Thanks, Scott Brant, Montana Coffee Traders.
Good question, and we’re sorry you’re having trouble locating the APPs you want. The Water mode is used to check calibration of any refractometer. The coffee, espresso and other APPs are already downloaded and get activated when you purchase Modes you want.
Indeed, this is the new “in-APP” purchase mode Apple made available a few months ago. After downloading the FREE Water mode, touch the upper-left button called Modes. You’ll find the Store Button now, in the lower right corner of the window. Here, you’ll find all of the current Modes, including Coffee, Espresso, Sugar and Corn, and many more to come…..
In each, you’ll see a short-form view functional of the APP with screen shots, without having to navigate through the online APPs store. In effect, the APPs are already downloaded, just select the one(s) you want to activate and you’re done.
We’ll try to make this more obvious in a future revision. Hope you enjoyed the presentation at the SCAA Symposium, and thanks for attending!
Why is the ExtractMojo software limited to one PC? That is a bit limiting as I may want a copy on my office desktop to
play with settings and a copy on my netbook at work to use beside my coffee machines.
At least give maybe a 2 PC license so us operators have at least a bit of flexibility to use and test the software and equipment.
More importantly, how do I go about transferring my copy to a new PC if my PC crashes or I upgrade? this info should be included with a purchase of the software/refractometer.
Please make an ExtractMojoToGo for the Android OS also.
My brother recommended I would possibly like this web site.
He used to be totally right. This publish actually made
my day. You can not consider just how so much time I had spent for this info!
Thank you!
